Isaac C. DeHart operated a roller and grist mill on Widgeon Creek for many years. In addition, DeHart operated a legal distillery in the area, shipping his products to many parts of the country. His widow donated their land to the County of Patrick, and DeHart Park is now located there. The park has a picnic shelter, playground for the children and two tennis courts which can also serve as all purpose courts. The recreation enthusiast will also find a walking trail, baseball field and horseshoe pitching area.
