Age is just a number when you combine relaxation with an active lifestyle: golf, bird watching, kayaking, history, theater, fishing and more.
Day 1 | Start with a Breath of Fresh Air
PM – A walk on the Boardwalk sets the stage for your time here, with the ocean swells and salt air providing an instant attitude adjustment. Enjoy fresh coastal cuisine at Catch 31.
Day 2 | Enjoy the Water and the Greens
AM – After breakfast at your hotel, experience a live taping of “The 700 Club” and tour of the Christian Broadcasting Network studio. Grab lunch at Swan Terrace.
PM – Spend the afternoon fishing the surf or ocean kayaking alongside dolphins, or fit in a round of golf at Virginia Beach National. Enjoy dinner at one of Town Center’s culinary choices and enjoy a world-class music or stage show at Sandler Center for the Performing Arts or comedy entertainment at The Funny Bone.
Day 3 | Nature and Wildlife
AM – Drive the Virginia Birding and Wildlife Trail, from Seashore-to-Cypress Loop, for prime viewing of migrating shorebirds and abundant wildlife. Stop at First Landing State Park, the site of the first landing of Jamestown Colonists in 1607 and the Cape Henry Lighthouses.
PM – Explore Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge, home to river otters, white-tailed deer, mink, red fox and turtles. Take a sunset kayak tour with Surf & Adventure Co. to Blue Pete’s for an authentic steamed Crab Feast.
Day 4 | Greet the Dolphins or Whales
AM – Don’t leave without an unforgettable Dolphin Cruise or Whale Watching Boat Trip. These two-hour excursions take you offshore where dolphins splash in the warmer months, and whales’ migration path follows in the coolest weather. Back at the Marina, enjoy a waterfront lunch at Rockafeller’s.
