The Crooked Road was designated as Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail by the Virginia Assembly in 2004. This 333-mile-long driving trail connects 10 major venues and over 50 affiliate venues that preserve and promote traditional Appalachian old time and bluegrass music. The Crooked Road is celebrating all year long with events across the region!

The Crooked Road is celebrating 20 years of promoting old time and bluegrass music in the mountains of Southwest Virginia in 2024. Musical milestones are happening all along this cultural corridor including the 20th Anniversary of the Ralph Stanley Museum, the 10th Anniversary of the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, the 40th Anniversary of the Floyd Country Store Friday Night Jamboree, and the 50th Anniversary of the Carter Family Fold.

The Crooked Road, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is soliciting proposals from qualified individual(s) or organization(s) to design and develop a consumer-facing phone application. The scope of this project would include the following: application design, front and back-end development, content generation, database incorporation, interactive map, venue listings, and digital passport integrated with QR scanning ability.
