RiverCliff Cottage was once a caretaker’s living accommodation  above a three-car garage.  It is detached from the primary house and has its own entrance.   It is located in Mendota, Virginia, approximately 45 minutes from Abingdon, Kingsport, Bristol and Johnson City.  We are five miles above the Carter Family Fold and about 40 minutes from the Bristol International Speedway.   We’re about one hour from the Devil’s Bathtub.  

This is a fully-furnished, stand alone one-bedroom structure featuring hardwood in the kitchen and bedroom, a laundry room, cable tv,  internet access, and a deck overlooking the scenic Clinch Mountains.  It has a queen bed.  All towels and bed linens are provided, and guests sleep on sheets that have been line-dried in the outdoors.  

Guests staying at RiverCliff Cottage will find that their cell phones do not work in this remote part of the county but those with a smart phone may change their phone settings to wi-fi for calling.      

RiverCliff Cottage has a security gate on the property.  It is a no-smoking facility.  We do not allow smoking in the unit or on the property (outside).
