Country Cabin II is a major venue of The Crooked Road located in Norton, VA. The original Country Cabin was built in 1937-1938 with the encouragement of local ballad singer and songwriter Kate O’Neil Peters Sturgill. The Cabin served as the art hub during the Works Progress Administration. In 2002, Country Cabin II was built to accommodate larger audiences. The Country Cabin is the longest continuously running site for traditional music along the entire Crooked Road.
Country Cabin II hosts local musicians and bands performing bluegrass, country, and old-time music throughout the year every Saturday night. Additionally, the Cabin hosts weekly line dancing classes every Monday afternoon.
Country Cabin II is open seasonally April – December. See our Events Page for their performance schedule.
