Stay in the cozy Lodge atop Allegheny Mountain in beautiful Highland County, VA. Relax in a private room, sit on the porch, and gaze at the stars.

Then, enjoy a farm fresh breakfast with refreshing spring water before exploring the lush gardens tended by Fellows at the Allegheny Mountain Institute.

Allegheny Mountain Institute’s Mountain Farm is a working farm and fellowship program. Seven Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI) Fellows live, work and participate in immersive training on this farm for the first six months of their Fellowship.
AMI’s farm includes a spacious Lodge and Fellow cabins, lush gardens and botanically-rich fields and forests. Chickens, cows, and bees are on the Farm below the Lodge. Guests are invited to stay in upstairs of the Lodge, which include four guest bedrooms and two private bathrooms (available to rent in a variety of configurations).
A self-serve continental breakfast featuring homemade staples is provided for all guests. Weekday guests are also invited to participate in family style meals with the Fellows at no additional charge. 

Guests may participate in select workshops with the Fellows for a small fee on Wednesdays. Workshop listings and sign-ups are available on the AMI website.
