Located at the intersection of West Main Street and Park Avenue, Ballou Park is one of the City’s two major parks featuring 107 acres of beautiful wooded grounds, lighted tennis courts, an athletic field, a one-mile nature trail, a 1.5 mile fitness trail, an amphitheater, picnic areas, four covered picnic shelters, horseshoe pits, frisbee golf and the enchanted forest playground. All age groups from Danville and surrounding areas utilize Ballou Park for many purposes. Picnic sites are available. Price varies based on size of shelter. Advance reservations are normally required to reserve a site, however drop-ins may be accommodated.
