Double Gates Grocery is a small country store whre you can buy melt-in-your mouth hamburgers and hot dogs.  It’s stictly take-out but you can enjoy your lunch on the front porch benches if you like. You can get a couple of “slaw dogs” with homemade chili, chips and a chilled soft drink.  Mattie Carter makes the chili and cole slaw dressing from her own secret recipes; both these items can be bought by the pint to take home for your back yard parties.  She may also have other homemade salads and/or spreads made up when you stop in.  Randy Carter, with years of experience as a butcher, grinds his own hamburger meat and cooks the generous patties up just right for “fresh fixins” to be added. 

Inside the store you will also find a small selection of grocery items if you don’t want to go to the larger stores just for an item or two.  

Open Monday through Friday, 9am to 5:30pm and Saturday, 9am to 2pm
