A tavern and restaurant celebrating the legacy of Bath County native Sam Snead has been a staple in Hot Springs for half a century. In the spring of 2022, Sam Snead Tavern re-opened under new local ownership and returned to the original tavern menu and concept. It’s a welcoming place to enjoy a drinks and appetizers after a round of golf or a memorable made-from-scratch meal.
The modern tavern menu was created by Executive Chef James Montoya, whose 30 year culinary career includes working in New Orleans, the Caribbean and alongside extraordinary chefs like Emeril Lagasse and Wolfgang Puck.
