More About The Sparrow A Frame

The Sparrow is a 1,000 square foot modern A-frame built by its owner in the Blue Ridge forest outside Luray, Virginia. Soaring cathedral ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass open onto the trees, with a wood-burning stove anchoring the living space and West and North African design woven throughout — including a Moroccan-inspired main-floor bedroom with a floor-pillow lounge. Outside is where it spreads its wings. The wraparound deck holds a five-person hot tub, a gas fire-pit table and an electric grill. Out front, swinging chairs circle a second fire pit with the valley stretching across the horizon, and a two-person hammock hangs in the trees nearby. Two bedrooms sleep four: a queen on the main floor and a loft bedroom that doubles as a workspace, with Starlink internet at 180+ Mbps, an all-in-one computer and a printer. Dogs are welcome. Downtown Luray, Luray Caverns and the Shenandoah River are ten minutes away; the Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive are fifteen.
