Wasena Park is operated by the City of Roanoke Parks & Recreation Department and has been a popular park in the Roanoke Valley for years. It is located near Downtown Roanoke and the Roanoke River and offers easy access to the Roanoke Valley Greenway close to both Smith and Vic Thomas Parks. The park is used for recreational leagues and has also hosted various other sporting events. Wasena Park features a long stretch of the Roanoke River Greenway, a playground, two picnic shelters, the Roanoke Skate Park, baseball diamond, and a basketball court.
