COVID CLOSURES – THE CROOKED ROAD MAJOR VENUES As of April, the following are closed: ·         Blue Ridge Institute & Museum at Ferrum College ·         Carter Family Fold ·         Ralph Stanley Museum ·         Rex Theatre   Modified Schedules: ·         Birthplace of Country Music Museum– Museum open, no Farm & Fun Time, Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion will happen September 10-12, 2021 ·         Blue Ridge Music Center – Reopens May 7, 2021 with full outdoor amphitheater & breezeway music schedule ·         Country Cabin – Open for music on Saturdays May 1- Bluegrass Circle May 8- Benny Jones Band May 15- Appalachian Strings May 22- Sun Down Band May 29- Tony and The Drywallers ·         Floyd Country Store – online & outdoor Friday Night Backyard Jamboree; store open; Handmade School hosting “Handmade at Home” online events and lessons ·         Galax Old Fiddler’s Convention – Scheduled for Mon, Aug 9, 2021 – Sat, Aug 14, 2021 ·         Southwest Virginia Cultural Center & Marketplace – Galleries open Thursday through Sunday from  10 am – 4 pm, no public events

 

We strongly recommend calling the visitors center of the city/town that you will be in as they may be able to recommend other local venues that are not specifically “The Crooked Road” but may be hosting bands/performances (ie. wineries, breweries, etc.).
