The Ralph Stanley Museum and Traditional Mountain Music Center feature the life and music of the legendary music performer, Dr. Ralph Stanley. The museum hosts an extensive collection of memorabilia, ranging from vintage instruments to countless music awards. Located in a historic four-story Victorian house, the collection includes exhibits on Ralph and Carter Stanley, the region’s musical roots, and popular musical successors like Ricky Skaggs and Patty Loveless. The facility is a resource center for music fans, students, and visitors to learn more about traditional American and Appalachian music.
The Ralph Stanley Museum is open from April – December.
