Wayne Henderson grew up in Grayson County, Virginia where he honed his skills as a musician and one of the nation’s premier luthiers. His finger-picking guitar skills have been featured at the like of Carnegie Hall and on numerous international tours. Perhaps his most famous attribute is his guitar building skills though. Wayne Henderson began building guitars as a teenager in the mountains of Virginia. His skill and craftsmanship have led to guitar greats such as Eric Clapton, Vince Gill, and Ricky Skaggs seeking out his instruments. Wayne still builds guitars in his hometown of Rugby, VA and was a recipient of the National Heritage Award in 1995.
