The Blue Ridge Institute and Museum at Ferrum College is a major venue of The Crooked Road. They are home to the Blue Ridge Folklife Festival, a festival held every fourth Saturday of October. The Blue Ridge Folklife Festival presents musicians, craftspeople, cooks, motorheads, mule jumpers, horse pullers, coon dog racers, antique tractor buffs, and old-time gamers for a celebration of the rich heritage and traditions of the region.
