We offer guests private enjoyment of not only a stellar waterfall, & numerous cascades, but also the entire 60-acre property. Located in Alleghany County in the old community of Earlehurst, between Covington & Roanoke, Beaverdam Falls are an historic series of waterfalls just off SR-311 (Kanawha Trail). The Falls, both owned privately, consist of the Upper & Lower Falls, as well as numerous cascades, situated at the headwaters of Dunlap Creek & at the terminus of the Sweet Springs. Only the Upper Falls & Sweet Springs portion are open to guests. Additionally, Beaverdam Falls hosts ancient travertine-marl rock formations, & a Beaver Preserve, a federally registered Palustrine Wetland, fed from one of the rarest caves known, an active sulphidic Cesspool Cave. Beaverdam Falls is a rare place for its ecological diversity, & its truly stunning, picturesque surroundings. Visits & stays are by reservation only. Event hosting is offered as well.
