Located in the Danville Science Center, the Estelle H. Womack Natural History Collection journeys through three diverse collections about life on Earth. Discover everything from vegetation to the world’s most dangerous predators!

Explore Life Along the Dan as you uncover the local fauna and flora in a captivating display. Continue your travels across three continents to walk alongside the Hunters and the Hunted – make sure you watch your step! Round out your journey by digging into Fossils and Minerals and More – Oh My! and finding pieces of the past from across the globe.

The museum collection includes mounted animals, native birds, reptiles, amphibians and insects as well as Indian artifacts, fossils and minerals.

The museum is open Monday-Saturday from 9:30 to 5, Sunday from 11:30 to 5:00, and for group tours by reservations.
