Fields Edge Farm is a family farm located along the scenic Rush Fork Road in Floyd County VA. This country road is a destination for cyclists and gives the visitor a glimpse of the verdant beauty of Floyd’s farmlands. This land has been farmed by the Slusher family since 1890, and before that there is evidence that indigenous people had an agricultural settlement here as well. Roger and Leslie Slusher continue the family farm legacy by raising petrochemical free produce on five acres and grass fed beef in the pastures. Fields Edge Farm products are sold via an online store to individuals, to grocery stores, restaurants, and food hubs in the area.
This working farm also provides opportunity for visitors to come get their hands dirty in their “Fields Ed Workshop Series” taught by the farmers themselves. Guest will learn about a wide range of farm and garden topics in these one day workshops that include a farm fresh lunch.
