Jamison Mill Park is located along the shores of Philpott Lake, a 3,000 acre lake with 100 miles of pristine undeveloped shoreline surrounded by 10,500 acres of forested land in the foothills of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. The clear water and natural shoreline make Philpott Lake a unique place for every sportsman and outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy the outdoors.

The 300+ acre park offers a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities including paddling, swimming, hiking, biking, fishing, and wildlife observation. There are 9 campsites for family and individual tent & trailer camping. Sites 1-5 offer water & electric hookup, are wheelchair accessible and adjacent to the bathhouse. Sites 6-11 are located in the overflow non-electric camping area. All campsites have a picnic table,  fire ring-grill and can accommodate up to six people and two tents. Camping is permitted only at designated sites. Drinking water and a bathhouse with utility sinks & hot showers are central. A dump station is provided.

All reservations must be made at least 30 days in advance. First come first serve camping is available without reservations however sites are limited. Camping is not permitted after October 31st when day use only status takes effect.
