The Jamison Mill Park Trail System has 6.25 miles of inter-connected loops for hikers and bicyclists. from narrow, single track to wider fire-road is a 6 mile, moderate to strenuous, interconnecting multi-use trail for hikers and bicyclists. The backbone of the trail system consists of three main interconnecting loops, to which are connected various trail segments. offering a variety of experiences Trails vary from narrow footpaths to wide fire roads.
Jamison Mill Park is named for the mill that was located nearby before the construction of Philpott Dam. Two interpretive stops along the trail, Robert ‘Bob’ Carter’s homesite and the previous site of Jamison Mill, bring to life the rich history of the community that lived in the vicinity of the original mill during the early to mid 1900’s.
