This comfortable, private cabin is in a wooded setting at the rear of our yard in Chatham. The cabin is 100 years old and the original log walls can be seen throughout. Guests can sit on the screened front porch to enjoy coffee in the morning or make a fire in the stone fireplace outside on a chilly evening.
Over time, this cabin was used — during the 30’s, we are told — as a honeymoon cottage. According to some of our more mature residents here in Chatham, it was the only place young people could go on a honeymoon, other than the bride’s house!
The cabin has a queen bed, twin bed, bath with shower, TV with DVDplayer and movies (no cable TV at this time), Wi-Fi Internet access, and nicely-equipped kitchen.
Nightly Rate: $85.00.
One-night deposit must be paid in order to hold reservation. On arrival we accept check or cash only.
If reservation is not canceled 3 days prior, the one-night deposit is forfeited.
If the reservation is for a “Special Events” weekend at Hargrave or Chatham Hall, there is a two-night minimum stay.
