The park, located on the Virginia/Kentucky border, is one of only two Interstate Parks in the nation. The park encompasses 4,500 acres of greenwood lands and mountain scenery, including the “Grand Canyon of the South”. The Rhododendron Restaurant, nestled on the canyon rim, offers a magnificent view while diners enjoy homemade entree’s and desserts.

Restaurant, Gift shop, Lodge Units, Visitor’s Center, Museum and Conference Center are open April 1 – December 21 each season.
