The South Boston-Halifax County Museum of Fine Arts and History provides a place for the collection, preservation, and display of art and historical artifacts pertinent to South Boston, Halifax County, and Southside Virginia. A sample of the museum’s permanent exhibits include an interactive map of Halifax County, a Native American artifact gallery, Halifax County’s Military History exhibit, and our Country Store display. We also have a Genealogy and Research Center whose volunteers are dedicated to tracing your family history or finding out more about Halifax County’s heritage. Make sure to come and visit our gift shop and find the perfect memorabilia.
Museum Hours: Wednesday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
