“The Country, LLC” is a veteran owned and operated, and located in mountainous Craig County. After spending 30+ years in the USAF, we’re focusing on making our 500+ acre home, your favorite place to visit.  We hope you come stay a while, and enjoy our little piece of heaven!  Some of the things we offer at The Country,LLC are:

  • Custom/Private Camping (Tents, Pop-Ups, Trailers and RVs) We guarantee 250 yards between guests.
    • We have several proposed camp spots, but we will work with you to make sure you get a spot “you” like
  • Native species catch and release fishing on 1.5 miles of private Johns Creek.  Fishing’s great for all levels.  Fish that you can expect are Smallmouth & Redeye Bass, Pike, Sun Perch, Blue Gill, and the occasional Trout
  • Swim, and or play in the creek (water depths from 6″ to 10′-12′ with easy access)
  • Picnic and or just enjoy the quiet
  • Wildlife viewing (Whitetail Deer, Turkeys, Black Bear, Bald Eagles, both Grey/Fox Squirrels, Racoons, Opossums, Coyotes, etc).  We currently have one covered viewing station with plans for more
  • Photography/Painting

  10% discount for active duty/retired military, law enforcement, and firefighters with current & valid ID! Medal of Honor winners are free!
