The Emporium General Store is a family owned business opened in 2012 by Phillip & Deborah Spence. Located in a historic storefront in downtown New Castle, (circa 1890’s)The Emporium General Store encompasses the past while embracing its future. You will find Graniteware and Lodge Cast Iron next to Aura Cacia Essential Oils organic and gluten free foods, a unique book selection, natural soap and cleaning products and much more. Lots of made in Virginia and made in America merchandise, just like the old days.

We believe in old-fashioned values, hard work and fair dealing. We endeavor to honor our customers with the highest quality products and excellent customer service along with a fun and delightful experience. Your satisfaction is our number one priority.
