Chestnut Creek School of Arts offers classes and events year-round for all ages and skill levels in traditional music, heritage crafts, and contemporary arts. CCSA aims to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Southwest Virginia through learning, communicating the value of traditional music and art.
CCSA is home to the Galax JAM (Junior Appalachian Musicians) program. JAM introduces children to the region’s rich heritage or traditional music. Students may choose to learn guitar, fiddle, mandolin, or banjo.
